An OutRross program serves as strengthening the health and immunity of a pedigree breed. Devon rex have a small gene pool in Australia and Breeders generally do not share their lines for various reasons.

By introducing a healthier pedigree breed you can successfully improve the quality of your cats. Choosing a breed for Devons is tricky as no other cat has the same coat type and body and head type. I chose American shorthairs as they are an approved breed used in America with successful results. I will need to breed 4 generations before I can register the outcrosses as a Devon Rex.

This program is monitored by my governing council and each litter is assessed. Each kitten born is also registered to keep track of the cats that have been bred.
